The latest addition to the XBee cellular family, the XBee LTE-M / NB-IoT makes it very easy and very quick to embed low-power LTE-M or NB-IOT cellular connectivity on a device.
The XBee LTE-M / NB-IoT Development Kit integrates all the elements allowing you a rapid prototyping or an immediate experimentation of the Cellular LTE-M or NB-IoT connectivity.
The kit is delivered with a Digi XBIB-C interface card, a module which integrates the SIM card support, cables, antennas and power supply necessary for implementation. You can immediately use the number of interfaces available (Serial, USB, Inputs / Outputs) with access to all the pins of the module. The free downloadable XCTU utility will allow you to easily go through all the stages of testing and development. The library of examples of applications allows you to have many examples of programs to integrate or customize. The Digi Remote manager platform will allow you to remotely supervise your equipment in complete safety
LTE-M and NB-IoT are low speed, low power cellular networks with excellent penetration in basements or in buildings. They are particularly suitable for devices operating on battery (5/7 years depending on use). The XBee LET-M / NB-IoT module is fully compatible with existing XBee fingerprints (Pin-to-Pin). The XBee form factor has a serial link (UART / SPI), USB, as well as numerous inputs / outputs (ADCs / DIOs, I²C). In addition, the module is programmable thanks to the embedded micropython, thus avoiding the addition of an external microcontroller. It is also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity (BLE) for easy on-site configuration (Digi XBee Mobile App), as well as advanced security features thanks to the integrated Crypto element.
